Ohhhh my love for greens! I could shout it from the rooftops. Not necessarily because of the taste (although I DO love certain greens, certain ways), but for the nutritional powerhouses that they are. And when we consume them with other powerhouse whole foods & herbs... you win yourself a healthier bod from the inside out.
This green smoothie is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. It's packed full of nutrients that will boost your immune system, help your body detox (AKA get rid of toxins from processed foods, environment, etc), aid in digestion, reduce inflammation and provide a plethora of micronutrients (ya know... vitamins & minerals that do MUCHO for your body's health) and omega-3s that will make you feel good - from the inside out.
Here's what you'll need:
1-2 cups Kale (chopped / torn up into small pieces)
1/8-1/4 cup Carrots, shredded
1/4 cup Apple, chopped
3 sprigs Parsley
2 Tbsp. Flaxseed, ground
1/4 tsp. Turmeric, ground
1/4 tsp. Ginger, ground
Blend with *unsweetened* nut milk (I used almond milk)
I use my NutriBullet, which works great. If you have something fancier (like a Vitamix), this will turn out even smoother/creamier with less effort.
I recommend blending your kale, carrots and parsley first... with some milk to really get them blended smooth. Then add in the rest of your ingredients & blend, blend, blend until super smooth & creamy.
YES the entire recipe is for you! No need to share. But you can double if you want to share with a friend.
I'm not telling you this is going to be the tastiest thing on the planet... BUT I promise you it tastes nice (at least in my opinion) and will do what it's created to do... BOOST YOUR HEALTH!
